Every salary figure on SalaryDex is visible without creating an account, entering an email address, or handing over any personal data. Glassdoor requires registration to view salaries. We don't.
Salary information is public information. Workers deserve to know what their colleagues earn. Hiding that data behind a registration wall benefits employers, not employees. We will never add a paywall or login requirement to access salary data.
No crowd-sourced guesses
Our salary data does not come from user reports, unverified submissions, or job posting estimates. It comes from:
- ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings — 180,000+ employer survey, mandatory participation, published annually by the Office for National Statistics
- NHS Employers Agenda for Change pay circular — the legal pay document for all AfC staff, updated annually each April
- HMRC published tax rate tables — income tax bands, National Insurance thresholds, and Scottish rate tables
- Rightmove quarterly rental index — median asking rent for 1-bed flats by city, updated quarterly
